I have to admit it, Christmas is really my most favorite time of the year! I love the Christmas lights, the decorations, the ornaments – especially the music (much to my kids disapproval)! The flip side to the previous statement is the fact that I HATE to put up the Christmas tree – I have someone who puts the lights on the house & I am SO thankful for the fact that Erica (Ashley too) always does all the decorating – all I have to do is get it down out of the attic!
So…things are beginning to taper off to a somewhat manageable pace around {EJP}. We have a couple more weddings this year…the 26th & 27th, and then we start 2010 off with another wedding on the 2nd! Erica and I are trying to get as many things done in January as possible so that when February hits we are ready for the baby’s arrival! Honestly, we have not done one thing to prepare! And if know Erica & I, then you know what a stretch that is for us as we plan everything….I mean EVERYTHING! So, even though we won’t be shooting much – we will still be super busy!

Hey blog peeps…I just just wanted to take a second and recognize my beautiful wife, Erica. For the past few weeks we have been running ninety-to-nothing…weddings, newborns, our annual Christmas gala ( see post below ), our kids are more involved with things than ever before – requiring a lot of our attention, and not to mention the marathon holiday sessions that we just completed. Never once has she complained – she just kept on trucking and kept pace the whole way! She did all this while maintaining a full-time career & home and growing our miracle baby!
She puts a lot of time & effort into our business and does this frequently without a lot of gratitude. So babe, “thank you for all your hard work – it has not gone unnoticed! You are awesome!”

So, now that the holiday sessions have passed, we have a little more “free” time on our hands. The kids have one more week of school and we have about two more weeks of work here in the EJP office to wrap-up before we sit-back for a much needed Christmas break! We have a couple more weddings to cover for 2009 and we have already booked some amazing couple’s for next year! 2010 is gonna be a great year!
This weekend we once again hosted our 6th Annual Jaggears Christmas Gala that Erica & I LOVE! Each year we try to invite around 50 of our closest friends & family for a night of good food, good company and good times! We have a white-elephant gift exchange where you cannot spend any money on your gift….and this year we added the ugly/tacky Christmas sweater requirement! And let me just give some major props to DeLos Vodka who graciously supplied our event & was a major factor to me not being able to get out of bed the next day! The party was a success and we welcomed a few newcomers this year to our shin dig…and the Christmas sweaters idea was a hit – there were some awesome sweaters!
