{ Photos Sneaks }

Hey blog peeps (it’s OK to be called that, right?)…just taking a break here from the mountains of edits that I need to finish/start!  As many of you have already read on Erica’s blog, I had three sessions this past weekend – and this is the first time that I have shot this many in one weekend since Erica was admitted to the hospital.  I don’t have any issues with shooting that much – it’s just the time that is involved in editing each session.  I try to get all edits & slideshows online within two weeks, but lately it is becoming more of a challenge than before.

I’m really excited about this weekend – if all stays well with Erica – and Jason & Dori haven’t dumped me yet, then I’ll get to shoot a wedding with them on Saturday!  I haven’t been able to get out and shoot near as much as I’d like – and I really enjoy shooting with these two! My fingers are crossed!

Anyhow, yes – three GREAT sessions this weekend.  I have SO many photos that I want to share from each of them – but once again, I don’t have all the edits done, so you’ll have to settle for my few, select pics!  Rachel & Dennis – your little girl is PRECIOUS – and we totally are loving the hat!  Great selections of clothes & the perfectly matched accessories!  Todd & Erin, you guys are super cool and I wish you lived a tad bit closer – cuz we’d love to hang out sometime!  I would also like to send our deepest condolences to your family for your loss.  I can tell from our brief encounter that you have a wonderful family – and that she will be missed.  May God bless you.  Patrick and Deanna (Mac too) – we feel so blessed to have you as friends and there isn’t a day that goes by that we don’t give thanks for having you so near to our family.  We are so excited that you get to welcome your perfect little son into your home and into our neighborhood.  We would also like to say thank you for allowing us to be a part of your lives as well.

{ Just Keeping My Word }

I know that a lot of times I post a comment – saying, “more to come later”….and well, sometimes “later” never arrives!  So…since I did post this week saying that I’d “tease” a few photos from the engagement session this past weekend – I thought I would do my best to keep my word and post a few of them.

This has been a pretty busy week on the home front as we are in the last week of the grading period for Alex (6th grade).  He is SO close to having straight “A’s” and we have been working so hard to make sure we have all work turned in and well prepared for the tests this week.  We’re keeping our fingers crossed and praying for the results!

Anyhow – here are just a few of the teaser’s from this weekend – and I hope by next weekend to get these completed!

{ Stepping Forward Again }

Hey Blog peeps – I feel better, way better.  I know that the previous post may have been a bit too personal in nature, but I just really felt like I needed to get that out- and off my chest.  Erica is doing better as well…she’s has really been struggling with the bed rest the past couple days, but I think it is more of a case of being homesick (plus the hives from the antibiotics doesn’t help any).  We still have our tough times, but we’re OK with that – and know that it is just part of the grieving process.

You want to talk about something “crazy”….our little AJ made his appearance on October 15th, which also just happens to be “Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day“.  Coincidence?  I don’t think so.  “AJ – we’ll never forget”.

We have been blessed by SO many people, from friends & family to those who we have never even met that are praying for us.  Words cannot express the gratitude we feel towards all that are lifting us up.  I would like to take a second and say a special “thank you” to some friends of ours, the Muellers.  Danielle has been amazing in uniting her “prayer warriors” for us and has been supporting Erica & I since day 1.  Be sure to check out her blogshe does a way better job of updating her’s than I do! Thank you Danielle – you are an awesome and amazing person; thank you for reaching out for us on our behalf.  We are so blessed to have even met your woderful family.

On another note, I had a great engagement session with a super special couple this weekend.  It felt SO good to get out and shoot outdoors in the great weather!  It was perfectly cool & sunny – and we couldn’t have asked for more!  Like I told them, “good weather, good company & good photos” – a near perfect day (minus the ridiculous Cowboys game)!  I am still working on their photos and I am hoping to showcase a few of them in a few days – so stay tuned!  In the meantime – we wish you all the best and please keep us in your prayers this week as we near the midpoint of the 19th week of our pregnancy.

{ Sad Day }

Hey everyone, well – things have taken quite the turn since the last blog post. Erica called me at home around 4am yesterday morning and she was having contractions – pretty bad.

By the time I got to the hospital they were about 3 minutes apart and she was in a lot of pain. Our little angel made his brief appearance into this world at 12:33 pm, 9oz, 8.5in long – and yes he was a boy.

After “baby A” was delivered the labor stopped. That’s right, it stopped. We still have babies “b & c”, and long road ahead.

The staff here was so kind and comforting…they cleaned him all up and dressed him in a precious, tiny t-shirt and little stocking hat.

We feel so blessed that were able to hold him in our hands and love him, knowing that he isn’t stressed and now in a way better place.

“Baby A” – we love you and we will never forget you. We’ll see you in heaven, precious one.

This angel is placed upon the door to signify that we have had a loss. We continue to pray that this angel looks out for us and “baby A” continues to protect us.
