Today we started the next “big step” in our marriage and for our family. Today is IVF day 1. This is the day that Erica has been dreading for quite some time…INJECTIONS BEGIN!
We woke-up as normal, at 6:15am to get the kids ready for school, and by 6:30am Erica was dispensing the medication. Today isn’t too bad – 1 shot, in the tummy. She did so good – I think Erica has been on the edge of the anxiety cliff for a few days now -knowing that this day was just around the corner!
She got the syringe ready, tapped-out the air-bubble, and handed it to me…”OK, you ready”? “One…Two…” STICK! To which she replied, “that’s it? Is it over?”
Tomorrow morning it’s her turn – “self-injection #1”.
“You did great, babe! I love you so much!”

Now back to our regularly scheduled event…have you ever wondered what a polarizing filter does? A polarizing filter, used both in color and black and white photography, can be used to darken overly light skies. Because the clouds are relatively unchanged, the contrast between the clouds and the sky is increased. Atmospheric haze and reflected sunlight are also reduced, and in color photographs overall color saturation is increased.
Here is a quick example…straight out of camera on both files…(1)without the polarizer & (2) with:

Pretty cool, huh?
