We went over to my parent’s house the other night to see our nephews & have some pizza! They live a couple hours from here, so we don’t see them as much as we’d like – but it was a treat to get to spend some time with them! Here’s a few photos from the evening.

Check out those teeth!
With all the talk in the political primaries lately about the environment and what we are doing, got me thinking a bit more about it. Here’s some interesting facts I found today:
– Recycling saves energy: Creating a new aluminum can from scratch takes 95% more energy than making a can from recycled aluminum.
– The U.S. uses nearly $1 million worth of energy every minute.
– Power plants emit 40% of U.S. carbon dioxide pollution, the primary cause of global warming.
– Only 10% of the energy used by an incandescent bulb produces light; the rest is given off as heat.
– If every American replaced just one light bulb with an Energy Star compact fluorescent light bulb (CFL), the energy saved could light more than 2.5 million homes for a year.
Now that is some food for thought.
