I can still hardly believe that we are almost there! I can remember last year just like it was yesterday…I remember how Erica put together this awesome page for us to raise money for March of Dimes in honor of our three precious angels & now we are laying the ground work for the second year of Team Angel Jaggears. You know how you can get that sick to your stomach feeling when something just isn’t right? Well, last year Erica & I decided that we would give IVF one more chance to bring a baby into our lives…the plan was to wait until June 2009, six months post the tragic events of 2008 – then we would gear-up for IVF. Anyone who has gone through IVF knows what a difficult and painful road that is to travel. So June arrived – and Erica was on some medications to prep her body for IVF – but they weren’t working….”give it a few days to see if it starts”…that’s what they said. Days later – nothing. “Come on in and we’ll do an ultrasound…you probably have a cyst or something”…ugh, there’s that feeling in my stomach that makes me think something is just not right. Days pass – one ultrasound later & they find why the medications are not working – she was already pregnant…that’s right, pregnant – without IVF, after they had been telling us it would be near impossible to get pregnant.
So fast-forward many weeks and here we are at 34 weeks! Yes, Erica is at home on bed rest, but so far, things are going great! We are getting the nursery ready, painting the walls, getting ready to pull my hair out as I attempt to put the furniture together…hmm, maybe I’ll record a video of that – that has to be worth some good laughs! No – we don’t know what the sex of the baby is – we decided to let that be a surprise! We are both very excited and anxious to see our new “Baby J”…boy or girl (though everybody seems to think it is a girl – personally, I say boy, all the way)! All in all, things are looking pretty bright. It is nice to have Erica at home, especially all the help she has been giving me with the business side of things! Even though she isn’t suppose to be on her feet for too long, we decided that it was time for some new “belly” photos – so after her appointment last week we snuck off to the park and snaps a few shots to document this miracle growing! We’ll keep you posted as the big day gets closer and closer – ’til then, check out “Baby J’s” current residence.
